Students' Organization: Economics Study Center

Economics Study Center (ESC) is the official student chapter of the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka. It was established in 1973. The center is being supervised and advised by the illustrious faculty members of the department.

During my tenure at ESC, I initiated and edited the first ever students’ economics digest of Bangladesh- “Bangladesh Students’ Digest on Economics and Development”, a compilation of academic articles by undergrad students in Bangladesh. With our team, we organized 10 seminars and symposiums on global and regional economic issues conducted by the prominent economists of Bangladesh to encourage the students in research analysis. We organized 5 workshops on data analysis, research presentation and software management for increasing the employability of the students. I designed and published the website which contains several interactive contents (blogs, videos, presentations) on economics along with the history and events’ news of the organization.
